The Importance of Content
Common MISTAKES made when designing a website:
- Believing people care about you and your website. (They care about your offering.)
- Using design elements that get in the way of your message, product or service.
- Navigational failure.
- Thinking your website IS your marketing strategy.
- Site lacks addictive content. (Forgetting the purpose of text.)
- Too much material on one page.
- Focusing your site on who you are and what you do while ignoring who your customer is and what your customer needs and wants.
It doesn't matter how fancy or how plain your website appears, the visitor wants to know which of their problems your offer solves. Either they need information, or they want to buy something or make a donation. It is best to serve a site that all your customers (or potential customers) can view with ease. If your customer cannot access your offering, they can't take advantage of it.
Straight-up content and direct access to your offering
will gain and retain more customers.
Simplicity and a clean design can make a sale faster and more effectively than leading your visitor on a scavenger hunt to find your real offering. If your visitor has to wait very long for the site to load, or after they have waited, the site requires them to go elsewhere to view the content, you can count on them leaving your site and finding another that will get to the offering without all the hoopla and provide a strong call to action.
Integrity
The true character of an organization is often revealed by how well they respond to customer feedback. Doing the right thing for the customer has always been good business sense, but never more important than today, when blogs and social media have given consumers the power to share their experiences with millions of people.
We do the right thing all the time... not part-time,
not sometimes
..... always.
satisfaction
We survey our customers for satisfaction. The responses are taken seriously and not just as a routine task- as the case may be with many other companies. Resopnse is via an actual email (or phone call) from an actual human being, and not an automated, prefabricated auto-response.
Concerns are addressed immediately to offer satisfaction and to demonstrate our character and integrity.
We want you to love
what we do for you!
